7 Ronin

7 Ronin is a tactical board game of bluff and intuition set in feudal Japan. One player becomes the chieftain of a mysterious clan of ninja, warrior-mystics and assassins, who want to steal food from a village and fill their own granaries. The other takes on the roles of seven ronin, samurai without a lord, hired to protect the village. Both players will have to best the opponent at planning their moves, anticipating enemy actions and making the best choices under the given circumstances.

HOW TO PLAY

7 Ronin is divided into eight rounds, representing eight days of ninja attacks. One player takes control of ninjas (the Attackers) while the other controls the 7 ronin (the Defender). Each round has 3 phases to it with each phase subdivided into a number of steps. 

You’ll secretly deploy your forces onto the village board and battle your opponent to defend or occupy as much of the village area as you can. The attacker claims victory if they eliminate all 7 ronin or by occupying five out of ten village areas on the village board. The defender wins by eliminating the ninja forces or by surviving through all eight rounds of the game.
